By now I think most people have heard of Canva, but I also don’t like to assume. Canva is a graphic design program for the masses. They have an extremely robust free version that empowers small businesses, organizations, and even your grandma to create their own designs in-house.
If you aren’t already using Canva to help you design your business flyers, social media posts, postcards, or whatever you need, start now. It’s easy to learn and even easier to sign up for.
Perhaps the best feature that Canva has is its library of sizes for social media posts. No more guessing how big to make your pictures before posting. Just search for the type of post you want to make and Canva will show you all of the options it has.
If you aren’t a designer by nature, or even if you are, then you will absolutely love all of the templates that you can easily style with pre-made color palettes and font sets. Or, if you aren’t sold on the font sets, then simply choose your favorite from the thousands of other fonts Canva has available. (Just be sure that people can actually read the one you pick!)
Sometimes you may have to search a little longer to find the perfect graphics that are available on the free version, but it can be done! You can also upload your own images at any time.
It’s an absolute must have for your small business when you’re doing your marketing yourself. (And no, I’m not being paid to say this.)
All the best,
Ryanne Zender
